Music lineup announced for the 2025 St. Pat’s in Five Points. See who’s playing the fest
For more than four decades, the St. Pat’s in Five Points festival has rocked Columbia. Now festival organizers have unveiled the bands who will play the various stages at this year’s event.
The 43rd edition of St. Pat’s in Five Points is set for March 15 and will welcome a plethora of regional, local and national acts. Headliners this year will include Lettuce, The Stews, Shane Smith and the Saints, and Badfish. Columbia hip-hop artist and activist Masta Splinta, formerly Fat Rat Da Czar, will return as host for this year’s festival.
Formed in 1992, Lettuce blends funk vibes with hip-hop, jazz, soul and rock. The band’s album “Elevate” was nominated for a Grammy in 2020 in the Best Contemporary Instrumental Album category. Shane Smith and the Saints, meanwhile, have a country, folk and rock sound, and the band’s songs have been featured on the TV shows “Yellowstone” and “Landman.”
The Stews bring mix rock with modern indie influences, and the band has played sold-out shows in venues such as Charleston’s Windjammer and New York City’s Bowery Ballroom. And Badfish brings what the St. Pat’s festival describes in a release as a “high-energy tribute to Sublime’s ska-punk and reggae-rock legacy,” while also blending originals into its set.
Additional acts at the 2025 St. Pat’s in Five Points festival include Cottage House, Cameron Whitcomb, SCYTHIAN, Penelope Road, Bombargo, Winyah, Virginia Man, Caminator, Damn Skippy, Congress THE Band, Clay Johnson & the Hard Promises, Blake Whiten, Mary English, The Donovan Twins, The Third Floor, Mr. Fahrenheit, MC LOUD, Soda City Brass Band, Bernie Love, and Elizabeth as Taylor.
Trae Judy is the talent buyer for St. Pat’s in Five Points, and books the bands for the festival.
“It’s a community event, so we want to have a little music for everybody,” Judy told The State. “It’s impossible task to please everyone. I’ve been doing this for 20 years, in terms of booking bands. My goal is to throw a good party, and a safe one, and have a big event. Those are the keys. We always promise the bands are going to be good and there will be a variety.”
Five Points Association Executive Director Heather McDonald said in a statement that a healthy music lineup has always been at the center of the St. Pat’s party, adding that with the 24 acts booked to the festival’s six stages organizers hope to “showcase a mix of established and emerging talent across a variety of genres, from rock and funk to country, soul and more.”
According to organizers, more than 32,000 people attended St. Pat’s in Five Points in 2024.
Aside from the numerous musical acts, St. Pat’s in Five Points will also feature a host of activities that have become an integral part of the annual event, including the Get to the Green 5K, 10K and 1-mile fun run; the St. Pat’s Parade; and the Pot O’ Gold Playland, which features numerous activities for kids and families.
Tickets for the festival are available at stpatscolumbia.com. Advance tickets are $30 until midnight March 14, and will be $35 at the gate on March 15.
