The Lexington County Coroner’s Office has identified the man who was killed in a two-vehicle collision Monday evening in Swansea.

Coroner Margaret Fisher said Curtis Cline, 44, of Orangeburg was pronounced dead at the scene from the injuries he sustained in the crash.

Lance Cpl. David Jones, a highway patrol spokesman, said the collision occurred at 5:45 p.m. on U.S. 21 near Calvary Church Road. Cline’s vehicle collided with a 2004 Ford Mustang.

Jones said the drivers of both vehicles were wearing seat belts at the time of the collision. S.C. Highway Patrol officials are continuing to investigate the circumstances leading up to the crash. The driver of the Mustang was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
