A Midlands bagel shop and deli will soon close its doors.

Monster Bagels, which has been located at 1110 Little St. in downtown Camden for just more than a year, announced the coming departure in a Wednesday Facebook post.

“Dear Camden, we have made the unfortunate decision to close our doors,” the post read. “Our last day will be Saturday [Feb. 15], or until we run out of bagels! Thank you for your patronage and come get some of our yummy treats before they are gone!”

The post drew a heavy response on Facebook, with more than 240 reactions, 56 comments and nearly 40 shares as of Thursday morning. Many of the comments lamented the coming exit of the Little Street bagel storefront.

“Heartbreaking, absolutely the best bagels,” one commenter on the social media post offered. “Will definitely be missed.”

Monster Bagels has been known for, as you would expect, bagels offered in a variety of flavors and styles, as well as breakfast sandwiches such as bacon, egg and cheese, and lunch sandwiches, such as Reubens, served on bagels.
