A Delta Air Lines flight headed to Columbia from Atlanta had to return early in the flight because of haze in the cabin.

Flight 876 left Atlanta at 8:30 a.m. with 99 people on board and returned to Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport when haze appeared inside the airplane, a Delta spokesperson said in a statement The State..

About 35 minutes takeoff, the flight landed safely back in Atlanta, NBC news reported.

The 94 passengers, two pilots and three flight attendants aboard the Boeing 717 landed safely at Atlanta’s airport.

Those onboard the flight evacuated via the emergency slides, Delta said.

“Nothing is more important than the safety of our customers and people, and we apologize to our customers for the experience,” the airline spokesperson said in the statement.
