Search ends for missing woman in Richland County, SC sheriff says

The search for a missing woman is over.

At about 12:40 p.m. Monday, the Richland County Sheriff’s Department said that Kiara Ellison was located, and she was in good health. Information about where and when Ellison was found was not available.

Ellison was publicly reported missing by the sheriff’s department Saturday, when the 24-year-old woman was last seen, the sheriff’s department said in a news release.

Ellison was last seen off Fairlamb Avenue in the Woodfield community, according to the release. That’s in Columbia, in the area between Exit 15 on Interstate 77 and Decker Boulevard.

There was no word if Ellison was alone when she was last seen. The sheriff’s department did not say if foul play was suspected in Ellison’s disappearance.

The sheriff’s department said it believed Ellison was in danger because she has medical issues that required assistance. Further information on her condition was not available.
