SC-born Christian music artist from Charleston bringing tour to Midlands arena
A Charleston-based Christian music artist who’s played in Grammy-award winning worship bands will bring his tour to Columbia in the fall.
Brandon Lake has worked in some of modern worship music’s biggest bands — Maverick City Music, Elevation Worship and Bethel Music — and has produced popular hits like “Graves to Gardens.” He’ll bring his King of Hearts tour to Colonial Life Arena Oct. 19, the arena announced Friday.
Columbia will be home of the tour’s first South Carolina stop, with later shows in Greenville and Charleston happening in 2026. Lake serves as a worship pastor at Seacoast Church, a Mount Pleasant-based megachurch with over a dozen locations.
The Myrtle Beach native is no stranger to megachurch-offshoot bands, with his time in three powerful players in the Christian music scene gaining him credit on some of the genre’s biggest hits in recent years. Elevation Worship is the worship collective from Charlotte-based megachurch Elevation Church and Bethel Music is from Bethel Church in Redding, Ca. Maverick City Music is an Atlanta-based group of Christian musicians.
Tickets will go on presale April 21 at 10 a.m. and will open to the general public April 24. They can be purchased on Ticketmaster.
