An Asian restaurant along a busy Columbia road has closed its doors. What we know
A Columbia restaurant known for its Asian cuisine recently closed its doors
Alley Street Eats, located at 4478 Rosewood Drive, has shuttered, according to a sign that was posted on a the door when a reporter stopped by on Monday afternoon.
“We regret to inform you that Alley Street Eats will be permanently closing its doors on March 30, 2025,” the sign said. “This decision has not been an easy one, and we want to express our deepest gratitude for your support since opening.”
There was a “For Rent” sign posted in front of the restaurant on Monday, and the phone number listed for the restaurant on its website was no longer working. The eatery had only been open since last summer.
The Alley Street Eats menu had a number of favorites from across Asia, including Taiwanese popcorn chicken, teriyaki chicken skewers, pan-seared gyoza, Sichuan wontons, miso udon noodle soup and more.
“It has been a pleasure serving our community, and we are truly thankful for all the memories, laughter and moments shared within our restaurant,” the closure note on restaurant’s door said. “We appreciate your loyalty and the trust you placed in us for your dining experience.”
Alley Street Eats was located in an area that is home to a host of commercial businesses. About 19,000 cars per day travel down Rosewood near Alley, and about 29,000 cars per day travel down nearby Garners Ferry Road, according to state Department of Transportation statistics.
