Search for South Carolina woman who has been missing for days
A search is underway for a missing South Carolina woman.
Theresa Carr was publicly reported missing by the Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office Sunday night. The 55-year-old has not been seen for days, the sheriff’s office said in a news release.
Carr was last seen June 5, and was reported missing to the sheriff’s office Sunday, according to the release.
When she was last seen, Carr was in her 2003 green Jaguar, which was parked at the McDonald’s fast food restaurant near the intersection of U.S. 601 and Interstate 26, the sheriff’s office said. That’s in Orangeburg, about 5 miles from where the sheriff’s office said Carr lives on Windsor Street.
There was no word if Carr was alone when she was last seen. The sheriff’s office did not say if foul play was suspected in Carr’s disappearance.
The sheriff’s office described Carr as a 5-foot-1, 210-pound woman.
Anyone who has seen Carr, or has information about her, is asked to call the Orangeburg County Communications Center at 803-534-3550, CrimeStoppers at 888-CRIME-SC or submit an online tip.
In the case of an emergency, always call 911.
“If anyone has any information ... please call us,” Sheriff Leroy Ravenell said in the release. “We want to know that she is OK.”
