Portion of Harden St. in Five Points to close Thursday night

A portion of Harden Street in Columbia’s Five Points district will be closed Thursday evening through Friday morning, according to the S.C. Department of Transportation.

Eastbound lanes lanes of Harden Street, from its intersection with Pendleton Street to its intersection with Senate Street, will be closed to thru traffic from 7:30 p.m. Thursday until 5 a.m. Friday for excavation and installation of a drainage structure.

Motorists will be asked to take a detour, according to a news release Wednesday.
