Southeast Park pond being drained for repairs
The pond at Southeast Park is being drained to make repairs, the City of Columbia Parks and Recreation Department said Thursday.
The project includes repairs to the spillway and boardwalk areas in addition to the dam drain valve, said the Parks and Recreation Department, which is relocating the pond’s fish to nearby waters. The pond is expected to be drained by Aug. 21.
According to the Parks and Recreation Department, the pond will be restocked which will improve fishing.
