Yummy Bowl Asian restaurant sets Columbia opening date in this busy area
A new restaurant with a host of Asian flavors has set an opening date for a new Midlands location.
Yummy Bowl, which has restaurants in multiple states, will open a location on Monday, July 7 at 1220 Bower Parkway suite E2 in Columbia in the Harbison retail district near Irmo, according to social media posts from the restaurant on Facebook. The Yummy Bowl will be in the Columbiana Station shopping center, a couple doors down from the British Bulldog Pub and near the Regal Columbiana Grande movie theater.
“Listen up, Irmo, SC!” the restaurant posted. “Yummy Bowl is on its way to bring all the delicious flavors of Mongolian Stir Fry, Authentic Ramen, Premium Sushi, and Korean Fried Chicken to your city soon! Join us for our Grand Opening on Monday, July 7th.”
Yummy Bowl adds on social media that it “sources the freshest ingredients and authentic spices to ensure that each dish is a true representation of its Asian origins.”
There are Yummy Bowl locations across the South and Midwest, including spots in Alabama, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky and elsewhere.
The general Harbison area northwest of downtown Columbia continues to be a busy retail district, with a host of restaurants, big box stores, theaters, clothiers, bars and more. About 31,000 cars per day travel down Harbison Boulevard, per state Department of Transportation data, while about 11,000 cars per day traverse down nearby Bower Parkway.
