Independence Day is here once again and it’s time to celebrate. For many Americans, that means grilling out, complete with hamburgers, hot dogs, other assorted meats and a host of sides and condiments.

But with so much to keep track of, invariably someone forgets something, be it paper plates, forks or an extra bottle of ketchup. In those instances, a quick drive to the grocery store is necessary.

Here’s a list of the grocery stores open in South Carolina on July 4.

Publix

Publix stores will be open on July 4 and will close at regular hours.

Whole Foods Market

Whole Foods Market will be open on the Fourth of July. The retailer recommends customers check their local store page online for specific store hours.

Target

Whether you have a Target with a large grocery store section or a small one, the result will be the same on July 4 — it will be open, but store hours will vary by location. Check your local store for specific holiday hours.

Piggly Wiggly

Walmart

Like its competitor Target, Walmart will be open on July 4. The stores will be open regular hours.

Food Lion

Food Lion fans in South Carolina are in luck! The grocery chain will be open during normal business hours on the Fourth of July.

Kroger stores in South Carolina will be open for July 4. Check local stores for specific hours.

Trader Joe’s

If you are lucky enough to have a Trader Joe’s in your city then yes, it will be open for July 4, but for special hours. All Trader Joe’s will be open only until 5 p.m.
