Traffic delayed after collision on I-26 eastbound

Traffic is being delayed on I-26 eastbound Thursday morning after a collision near mile marker 108, according to South Carolina Highway Patrol officials.

Lance Cpl. David Jones, a highway patrol spokesman, said troopers are on scene and diverting traffic around the collision area. The collision happened at about 11 a.m. There were no immediate details available about how many vehicles were involved or if there were any injuries.

Jones said a wrecker is en route to the scene, and the collision should be cleared from the roadway in the next 30 minutes.
