A severed natural gas line shut down part of Kinley Road on Wednesday, the Columbia-Richland Fire Department posted on X.

The affected stretch of road in the Irmo area is between Broad River Road and Shady Lane. According to the post, repairs are likely to take several hours, and drivers should seek alternative routes around the area.

The affected stretch of road sits just off of Broad River Road, near where that larger thoroughfare intersects with Interstate 26.

This is a developing story.
