This busy section of Lexington has a new restaurant with Asian flavors
A new Japanese restaurant has made its debut in a busy commercial area of Lexington.
Hibachi & Wings officially opened its doors July 23 at 5594 Sunset Blvd. suite B. That’s in a popular shopping strip that includes a Verizon store, a Chipotle restaurant and a Fleet Feet shoe shop, among other businesses. Hibachi & Wings is right next door to a Krispy Kreme doughnut shop.
The new restaurant’s menu features a number of Japanese combo plates that come with your choice of meat — hibachi chicken, teriyaki chicken, steak, shrimp, etc. — with fried rice, veggies and white sauce. It also has a deep roster of wings in a host of flavors, including lemon pepper, barbecue, teriyaki, sweet chili, Buffalo, and Cajun, among others.
Hibachi & Wings also offers chicken tender and fried shrimp baskets, as well as appetizers such as fried green tomatoes, egg rolls and fried okra. The restaurant is open from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. It is closed on Sunday.
The new eatery is in one of the Midlands’ busiest commercial corridors. Nearby businesses include Home Depot, Walmart, Books-A-Million and many others. Nearly 35,000 cars per day travel down that section of Sunset Boulevard, per state Department of Transportation statistics.
