Search for missing SC woman who has been without her medication for a week
A search is underway for a missing South Carolina woman.
Alyssa Maddox was publicly reported missing by the Columbia Police Department Tuesday. The 37-year-old has not been seen for at least a week, police said in a news release.
Maddox was reported missing to police Aug. 5, after she was last seen at a Nestle Court home, according to the release. That’s in a part of Columbia between Garners Ferry Road and Leesburg Road.
There was no word if Maddox was alone when she was last seen. Police did not say if foul play was suspected in Maddox’s disappearance.
Police said that Maddox didn’t take her medication with her. Further information about the medication, or any medical conditions, was not available.
Anyone who has seen Maddox, or has information about her, is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 888-CRIME-SC or submit an online tip.
