A West Columbia pizza place is moving to a new location. Here’s where it’s going
A West Columbia pizza spot is moving to new digs.
Big Cheese Pizza, which was previously located at 1266 Main St., is prepping a new space at 714 Old Barnwell Road. The new restaurant on Old Barnwell Road is listed among various the commercial projects in the November agenda of the Lexington County Planning Commission.
The previous Big Cheese Pizza location at 1266 Main is closed, and there is a sign on the door alerting customers of the move to Old Barnwell Road. An opening date for the new location hasn’t been announced, but construction work was going on inside when a reporter recently went by.
The Big Cheese on Old Barnwell will be located in the newly constructed Shoppes at Pine Grove Crossing retail strip. Businesses currently located in the strip include a liquor store called Junior and the convenience store Yogi Express.
The shopping strip is about a mile northeast of the intersection of Old Barnwell and Emanuel Church Roads. It’s right across the street from the Pine Grove Sports Complex.
The menu at Big Cheese includes various pizzas, as well as wings, bread sticks, cinnamon sticks, sandwiches and more.
