Students in 4 school districts are back in the classroom
Summer is over, the books are open and the computers, charged and turned on in four Midlands public school districts.
Starting their school year off Monday were Lexington 1’s Lexington, Gilbert, Red Bank, Oak Grove and Pelion students; Lexington 3’s Batesburg-Leesville students; Richland 1’s students, in Columbia, Olympia, Lower Richland and parts of Forest Acres; and Kershaw County Schools.

WEDNESDAY, Aug. 19
Lexington 2: Schools in West Columbia, Cayce, Pine Ridge and South Congaree
Lexington-Richland 5: Irmo, Ballentine, Chapin, Dutch Fork, Harbison and St. Andrews areas
Richland 2: Schools in northeast Richland County, parts of Forest Acres and Columbia
Heathwood Hall Episcopal School: In Columbia
