Three people have been arrested in connection with a November shooting on Garners Ferry Road in Columbia that killed one person and left another injured.

The Richland County Sheriff’s Department said in a Friday news release that it arrested Andre Ferguson, 17, on Dec. 3 and charged him with murder, two counts of attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime and possession of a firearm by a minor. Ferguson will be charged as an adult, the sheriff’s department said.

Meanwhile, Kentrail Fuller, 17, turned himself in to deputies Dec. 4, the sheriff’s department said. He also is charged with murder, two counts of attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime and possession of a firearm by a minor. He also is being charged as an adult, the sheriff’s department said.

The sheriff’s department also arrested a 16-year-old male and charged him with murder, two counts of attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime and possession of a firearm by a minor. The 16-year-old, whose name was withheld because of his age, was taken to the Department of Juvenile Justice.

Fuller and Ferguson were being held at Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center as of Friday morning, the sheriff’s department said.

At about 11:55 p.m. Nov. 21, deputies responded to the 7600 block of Garners Ferry Road in reference to a shooting. When they got there, deputies found a male who had been shot in the upper body. He was taken to a local hospital, the department said in the release.

A short time later, deputies found another male at the scene who had a gunshot to the upper body. That person died at the scene, the department said.
