A new hub for Lego toys and more has plans to set up in a busy area of Columbia.

Brick Box Toys plans to open in January in the Crossroads Commons shopping center at 4464 Devine St., near the intersection of Devine Street and Fort Jackson boulevard, according to a news release from commercial real estate firm Colliers South Carolina.

The store will be “a one-stop shop for LEGO fans of all ages, specializing in buying, selling, and trading new and used LEGO products, with a wide selection of rare and retired sets available,” according to the release.

The Crossroads Commons shopping center includes a number of well-known tenants, including Food Lion, Staples, Subway and Papa John’s, among others. More businesses nearby include Whole Foods, Ulta and Whataburger.

“As a graduate of both Dreher High School and the University of South Carolina I have strong ties to the Columbia community,” Brick Box Toys owner Jay Lesesne said in the release. “I have always had a passion for Legos, and I am looking forward to offering a place for builders of all ages to buy, sell, trade and connect on everything Legos.”

The toy shop is coming to a corridor that is high volume in regard to traffic. Nearly 30,000 cars per day travel down Devine Street in front of the Crossroads Commons center.
