A motorcycle crash killed John A. Robins, 50, in Aiken County on Thursday evening, according to the coroner’s office.

At about 8:30 p.m. on Christmas, Robins was traveling north on Georgia Avenue in North Augusta on a 2008 Harley Davidson motorcycle, according to a press release from the Aiken County Coroner’s Office. The motorcycle left the road, hit the curb and ejected Robins.

Robins, of Warrenville, struck a utility pole, and Aiken County Emergency Medical Services took him to the hospital, according to the news release. He died just before 9 p.m. at the hospital Thursday night, according to the release.

A toxicology report is pending, and the coroner’s office and the North Augusta Department of Public Safety are investigating the crash, according to the news release.
