Search for 13-year-old who’s in danger is over, Richland County sheriff says

A search for a South Carolina teenager who was considered to be in danger is over.

Tyon Williams was safely located shortly after he was reported missing, according to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department. Information about where Tyon was found was not available.

The 13-year-old was publicly reported missing Tuesday morning after he was last seen at about 7:30 a.m. his Plantation Point Drive home, the sheriff’s department said in a news release. That’s in the Elgin area of northeast Richland County.

There was no word if Tyon was considered a runaway, or if he was alone when he was last seen.

The sheriff’s department did not say if foul play was suspected in Tyon’s disappearance, but said the teen was considered to be in danger.
