Viral hot dog themed bar crawl moving across US coming to Columbia. Here’s when, what to expect
Was a hot dog bar crawl on your 2026 bucket list?
If it was, you’re in luck. The Hot Dog Hop, self-described as the biggest bar crawl in the nation, is making its way to Clemson and the University of South Carolina.
The weiner-ful event, which is being hosted in over 70 campuses across Canada and the United States, is a product of Mosea, a campus marketing agency based in Toronto, Canada.
Clemson bar’s will host the bar crawl this Saturday, Jan 24, starting at 2 p.m.
On Feb 21, starting at 5 p.m., several Columbia bars will host The Hot Dog Hop, where people can get special drink deals and a chance to win merch from their partners, such as Fireball.
Oh, and you’re supposed to wear a full body hot dog costume as you travel to each bar. Let’s be frank: it’ll definitely be a conversation starter.
After purchasing a ticket, you get to keep the hot dog costume.
Clemson’s costume pick-up location is at Backstreets Pub & Grill, and will happen on Saturday, Jan 24, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. USC’s costume’s pick-up location will be at Chicken on a Stick, beginning at 3 p.m on Saturday, Feb 21.
