This Lexington County area will get a new location of a national restaurant

A well-known chain famed for doughnuts and coffee will soon open a new shop in the Midlands.

Dunkin’, which has thousands of locations across the U.S. and many in the Midlands, will open a location at 107-B W. Church St. in Batesburg-Leesville. The shop plans to debut at 6 a.m. Jan. 27, according to posts from Dunkin’ on social media.

The company said on Facebook that it will be giving the first 100 guests on Jan. 27 “free donuts for a year.” There will be prize giveaways on opening day and Dunkin’s mascot will be on-hand.

The new Dunkin’ will be located just in front of the Batesburg-Leesville Walmart Supercenter, and across the street from Wiz’s Eatery. Herlong Chevrolet and the U.S. Post Office also are nearby. The Dunkin’ is in a small shopping strip with a Verizon store as its neighbor.

About 11,000 cars per day travel down Church Street in Batesburg-Leesville, per state Department of Transportation data.

There are nearly 10,000 Dunkin’ locations in the U.S., per data website ScrapeHero. The shops are famed for their doughnuts, hot coffee, espresso, iced coffee, breakfast sandwiches and more.
