A Columbia location of this well-known national store will close. Here’s where

A national retailer is closing one of its locations in northeast Columbia.

Office Depot, which has locations across the U.S., is closing the store at 10050 Two Notch Road. There is a large banner posted on the front of the store announcing that it is closing. There are also posters on the front door touting the closure and the sales going on associated with the closing.

“Nothing held back!” reads one of the signs on the front door, with another noting that fixtures, furniture and equipment from the store also will be sold.

A final closing date for the Office Depot at 10050 Two Notch has not been publicly announced, but close-out sales are well underway, with discounts up to 60% on various office supplies and other items.

The closure of the Two Notch Road Office Depot doesn’t appear to be a part of a larger national push of closures. A banner on the store’s front reads, “Closing - This Store Only.”

There are more than 800 Office Depot locations across the U.S., according to data website ScrapeHero. Additional Midlands locations include spots on Harden Street and Bush River Road in Columbia, and on Sunset Boulevard in Lexington.

The location at 10050 Two Notch Road is near a host of other businesses, including a Walmart, a Lowe’s Home Improvement, a Publix, a Kroger and a number of other retailers.
