Columbia restaurants offering Valentine’s Day specials. Here are the details
Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and love is in the air.
It’s a special day for couples and restaurants recognize that by serving up meal courses unique just for the holiday.
Many notable restaurants in Columbia are offering these courses and special deals for couples who want a night to celebrate. From sushi and seafood to steak and Korean barbecue, there are many food courses to try out.
Here are the restaurants and their deals:
Melting Pot at 1410 Colonial Life Blvd W, Unit 130
- The deal: A five-course meal for $160 per couple on Feb. 14. There’s also a four-course meal available on Feb. 13 and Feb. 15
- The meal:
- The starter is lobster bisque
- Second-course options are white truffle cheddar cheese fondue, bacon bacon bacon cheese fondue and pear & brie cheese fondueThird-course options are Caesar salad and strawberry caprese salad
- Fourth-course options are filet mignon, salmon, lemon garlic shrimp, honey cinnamon pork, teriyaki steak and honey Dijon chicken
- Caramel toffee crunch, heaven in a pot, and dark raspberry espresso chocolate fondues are options for dessert
- The four-course meal is the same, but without the lobster bisque

- The deal: A three-course meal for $44.99 per couple. Prices may vary by location
- The meal:
- Start with fried green tomatoes, fried pickles or crispy brussels sprouts for the appetizer
- Main course options include shrimp & grits, honey dusted fried chicken, bourbon-peppercorn glazed meatloaf and grilled harvest chicken
- Third course options are banana pudding, mud pie and butter pecan cheesecake

The Dragon Room at 803 Gervais Street
- The deal: A platter of food for $35 that serves two. There is also a $65 platter that serves four
- The meal: Crispy spring rolls, steamed chicken & cilantro dumplings, celery salad with adobo mayo, huli huli grilled chicken thigh, coconut shrimp and meatball skewers

- The deal: A three-course meal for $99 per person on Valentine’s Day weekend. Only one item can be chosen per course per person
- The meal:
- First-course option are chilled four once lobster tail, butternut squash & sausage ravioli, steak tartare and artisanal cheeses
- Second-course options are she-crab soup, caesar salad and kale & cranberry salad
- Third-course options are grilled filet mignon, seafood fettucine fra’diavola, lamb osso buco and pan seared black grouper

- First course options are baked brie, berry compote and spiced candied pecans
- Second-course options are seafood pasta, shrimp, scallops and octopus

- The deal: Free dessert or small hot sake with purchase of a sushi dinner for two or any sushi boat on Feb. 13 and Feb. 14

MOA Korean BBQ & Bar at 1333 Main Street
- The deal: Choose between a $139 per couple four-course meal or a premium $199 per couple four-course meal on Valentine’s Day
- The meal:
- First-course options include appetizers, such as chicken wings, calamari and mandoo.
- Second-course options include sides, such as kimchi, braised potatoes and pickled radish.
- Third-course meat options are prime ribeye, 45 dry-aged ribeye, marinated scallop, marinated tiger shrimp, prime beef brisket, marinated short rib, pork belly, beef bulgogi, spicy pork bulgogi and chicken bulgogi. The $139 course included two of these meat options, while the $199 course gives the choice of A5 Japanese wagyu or tomahawk steak plus one of the regular meat choices.
