A case of measles has been reported at Furman University.

Someone on Furman University campus has been diagnosed with measles and another is a suspected case, the Greenville university announced Tuesday.

They did not say if the person was a staff member or student. They are isolated, the school said.

The school has notified the South Carolina Department of Public Health.

Contact tracing is underway and people are being notified that they may have been exposed.

“At this time, there is no indication of widespread exposure,” the school said in a news release.

The Earle Student Health Center said over 99% of Furman students have provided proof of immunity.

The Department of Public Health reported Tuesday that there were 13 new cases of measles in the state since Friday, bringing the number of cases in South Carolina to 933 since the outbreak began last fall.
