Columbia’s new food hall is getting a spot for fancy sodas.

Soda Belle, which offers what it calls “gourmet sodas with a Southern twist,” is prepping a space at Gather COLA, the popular new food hall that debuted late last year at the BullStreet District. Soda Belle and Gather COLA announced the coming venture in a joint Instagram post on March 3.

“Soda Belle is heading to @gathercola with our very own little shop,” the Instagram post read. “Gather COLA is such a great hang out in Downtown Columbia to eat, shop, AND now you can also get your favorite Soda Belle!”

A formal opening date for the Soda Belle space hasn’t been announced, but the business said it would be “building it out this week” and told fans to “stay tuned.”

Soda Belle has been operating as a mobile pop-up in the Columbia area for some time. The business offers a host of gourmet sodas. A menu shown on one of its Instagram posts includes signature offerings such as the Bless Your Heart, which comes with Coke, cherry, vanilla and cream. There’s also, among many other drinks, the Butter My Biscuit, which comes with root beer, vanilla, butterscotch and cream.

The Gather COLA food hall opened in December at 2191 Pickens St. in the BullStreet District. It has 10 different restaurants, a cocktail bar, a beer taproom and several retail spaces, along with a stage for music and entertainment. It is an effort from the team that previously opened the award-winning Gather GVL food hall in Greenville.

The food hall also is home to the SOCO Gather coworking space, which debuted Feb. 26 with more than 9,000 square feet of collaborative working space, private offices and hosting and event space.
