A popular Lexington steakhouse is opening a Greenville location. Check out where
A popular Lexington steakhouse is prepping a new location in a busy area of the Upstate.
Cork & Cleaver Steakhouse, which has a restaurant at 924 E. Main St. in Lexington, plans to open a new location at 116 N. Markley St. in downtown Greenville’s West End. Cork & Cleaver has been touting the coming Greenville location in recent posts on social media.
“From Lexington to the Upstate, a new location is on the way very soon — and we’re building an all-star team to bring the same energy, hospitality, and elevated dining experience you already love,” Cork & Cleaver said in a February Facebook post touting hiring for the Greenville location.
The Greenville Cork & Cleaver Steakhouse will be going into a space that formerly was home to Urban Wren, which closed in 2025. It will be located just a couple blocks away from Fluor Field baseball stadium in the midst of Greenville’s trendy downtown.
Cork & Cleaver is a part of the Midlands-based Happy Forks Restaurant Group. Aside from Cork & Cleaver, Happy Forks also has the Chophouse of Chapin and Bakon Southern Eatery on its roster.
The menu at Cork & Cleaver includes prime cut steaks, as well as wine, cocktails and more. The restaurant also has a selection of salads, pasta, and seafood, and a deep roster of sides.
