Headed to Columbia’s St. Pat’s in Five Points Saturday? Some things to know
One of Columbia’s most famous districts will go green this weekend, as it always does this time of year.
St. Pat’s in Five Points, the annual St. Patrick’s Day weekend event that has been known to draw more than 30,000 attendees, is slated for Saturday, March 14. The event will feature nearly 30 musical acts across multiple stages throughout the day.
Billed as South Carolina’s largest one-day festival, St. Pat’s in Five Points originally began in 1983. Aside from being the Capital City’s premier St. Patrick’s party and one of its biggest musical centerpieces, the festival has also been known for its philanthropic efforts through the years, having donated more than $1.3 million to local charities.
The March 14 festivities will feature the St. Pat’s Parade that will begin at 10 a.m. The parade is free to attend and will begin at Devine Street and Sims Avenue in Shandon, take a right on Harden Street and ends at College Street, per the St. Pat’s in Five Points website.
The ticketed portion of the festival will see national, local and regional bands playing from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at spots throughout Five Points. General admission advance tickets are $37.65, per the ticketing portal on the St. Pat’s in Five Points website.
Among the headliners of this year’s festival is three-time Grammy nominee Grace Potter, who the St. Pat’s in Five Points website notes is “a can’t-miss live act, blending roots rock, soul, and sharp songwriting with a powerhouse voice.” Potter has performed alongside The Rolling Stones, Robert Plant and Bonnie Raitt, and has performed on NBC’s The Tonight Show and CBS’s The Late Show.
Also rocking Five Points on March 14 will be long-running national touring act Switchfoot. The band has released a dozen studio albums which have sold a collective 10 million copies across the world. The band won a Grammy with its 2009 album “Hello Hurricane.”
Also among the headliners for St. Pat’s in Five Points will be bluegrass/country act The Creekers, who have more than 571,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, and Charleston’s Congress The Band, which packed out its set at the 2025 edition of St. Pat’s in Five Points.
Other bands and acts scheduled to play Saturday’s festival include Grace Bowers, Buffalo Traffic Jam, Jason Scott and the High Heat, Dogpark, Scythian, Master Splinta, Harvey Street, Arts Fishing Club, Tobacco Road, JWADI, MIDS, George Fetner and the Strays, Silk Road, Rut Spence, The Podunk Ramblers, Dune Dogs, DJ MC Loud, The Donovan Twins, Danny Anderson, Tomorrow’s Problem, Katie Demartini, The Smoaks, and Kaily Alexandria.
