‘Erewhon dupe’ trending at Columbia smoothie shop. Here’s what people are saying
A Columbia eatery that exclusively features grab-and-go plant based products has been likened to an upscale grocery chain in California, according to some social media enthusiasts.
Tasty As Fit has gotten a sizable amount of attention on social media as the niche eatery continues to update its selection of gluten-free and plant based menu options. Fans of the spot, located at 3001 Millwood Avenue, are especially raving over their smoothie offerings — with some saying their comparable to those sold at California’s luxury grocery chain, Erewhon Market.
Exclusive to Southern California, Erewhon is a celebrity-frequented and “see-and-be-seen” marketplace known for high-priced premium and organic products aimed toward health-conscious patrons. Amid a variety of products, the high-end chain is, perhaps, most known for its Hailey Bieber Strawberry Glaze Skin Smoothie, which carries a $21 price tag.
While not as pricey compared to Erewhon, smoothies from Tasty As Fit (priced between $10-$13) are being deemed just as good by some users on TikTok.
Tasty As Fit was founded in 2018 by Emilie Blanchard, who first began preparing “healthy” meals for nearly two dozen families out of her home, according to a website bio. The establishment’s mission is to fundamentally “show the world just how delicious plant-based food can be,” amid season menu options that rotate weekly, according to information on their website.
