High winds that blew across the Midlands during Thursday’s storms did major damage in one local park when it blew the roof of the stage of a public amphitheater.

Security footage from Doko Meadows Park in Blythewood on Thursday captured the moment the roof of the amphitheater was blown off.

The park was closed for the rest of the day on Thursday as debris was cleaned up, with plans to reopen the park on Friday, WLTX reports.

Blythewood Mayor Sloan Griffin told the Voice of Blythewood that the town would quickly put out bids to repair the damage and should be able to reopen the amphitheater soon. The outlet reported the tin roof blew up to 300 yards across the park’s lawn and even into the street. No injuries were reported.

The damage came as most of the area was in a tornado watch Thursday morning. The winds and rain brought a cold front into the area, pushing temperatures down into the 30s Friday morning.
