Former Cracker Barrel building in Columbia is for sale. Here’s the asking price
It was a place that once was popular for hashbrown casserole, pancakes and fried chicken. Now a buyer is being sought for the building.
The former Cracker Barrel building at 253 Forum Drive in northeast Columbia — an outparcel to the long-running Village at Sandhill shopping area — is for sale for $2.7 million, according to recent listings from commercial real estate firm NAI Columbia. The property had previously been for lease.
The Cracker Barrel at 253 Forum Drive officially closed its doors back in April 2024. The company, which is known for country cooking and having stores in its restaurants with various kitschy items, has more than 650 locations across the U.S., per data website ScrapeHero. In the Midlands the company still has locations on LeGrand Road and Bush River Road in Columbia, and on Kinley Road in Irmo.
Per NAI Columbia, the restaurant building at 253 Forum Drive is more than 10,100 square feet and sits on just more than two acres. It has 139 parking spaces.
It’s in a high-traffic area, with nearby Clemson Road getting nearly 29,000 cars per day, and nearby Two Notch Road seeing nearly 25,000 cars per day, according to state Department of Transportation stats. The Village at Sandhill is home to a number of restaurants, stores and services, including Books-A-Million, the Regal Sandhill 16 movie theater, Belk, Ulta and many others.
