Waffle House, which has 24-hour restaurants across the U.S., is bringing a new location to 151 Blanche Circle in Irmo, just off Dutch Fork Road. The Waffle House will be located just behind the Whataburger and Starbucks restaurants that are along Dutch Fork Road.
Construction is well underway on the new Waffle House, with a brick structure that’s in the company’ slim, boxy diner style. Upper wall tiles in the chain’s trademark black and yellow colors could be seen through the windows when a reporter rode by on Tuesday afternoon. A job listing for a shift supervisor at the Blanche Circle location was on Waffle House’s jobs portal as of Tuesday.
Richland County property records show the property at 151 Blanche Circle is owned by Waffle House, Inc. An opening date for the upcoming location hasn’t been publicly announced.
Known for its proximity to major highways and roads, Waffle House is a staple across the South and has, through the years, spread as far west as Arizona and as far north as Pennsylvania. The menu is known, of course, for its waffles, but also hash browns, burgers, breakfast sandwiches, pies, omelets and more.
The Dutch Fork Road area in Irmo is lined with a number of businesses, including Whataburger, Starbucks, Dunkin, Walmart, Aldi, Taco Bell and many others.
