The city of Columbia is launching a brand-new local music festival at Finlay Park this May.

Headlined by nationally-touring acts Old Crow Medicine Show and Sam Bush, Columbia’s new Songbird Festival will lean “into a weekend rooted in songwriting, string bands, and the kind of live music that thrives outdoors.”

The festival will begin each day at 11 a.m., and musicians will play at the park’s main stage and another Greenway stage, “with continuous music throughout the day,” with headliners performing in the evening.

Eighteen acts, including local, regional and nationally-touring artists, will perform over the two-day festival.

Tickets are already on sale, starting at $49.99 for adults who buy in advance. Children’s tickets cost $33.80 per day. Attendees can also purchase VIP tickets for $165.43 per day. Those tickets give access to exclusive viewing areas at both stages and entry to a VIP lounge.

Two-day ticket bundles are also available.

The festival will begin with a free kick-off party Friday, May 29. That event will feature a free concert at Finlay Park featuring The Water Kickers.
