Search ends for missing man with medical conditions in Richland County

UPDATE: Kendrick Sanders was located safe and in good health, according to the Richland County Sheirff’s Department.

Original Story

A search is underway for a missing South Carolina man with medical issues.

Kendrick Sanders was publicly reported missing by the Richland County Sheriff’s Department Monday morning. The 42-year-old hasn’t been seen since Sunday night, the sheriff’s department said in a news release.

Sanders was last seen around 9:20 p.m. Sunday in the area of his Skyland Drive home, according to the release. That’s in a part of Columbia near the junction of Greystone Boulevard and Broad River Road.

Sanders reportedly walked away from his home, the sheriff’s department said.

There was no word if Sanders was alone when he was last seen. The sheriff’s department did not say if foul play was suspected in Sanders’ disappearance.

Sanders was considered a vulnerable adult as he suffers from multiple conditions that require medication and is “in need of immediate assistance,” the sheriff’s department said.
