Police are investigating after a man reportedly was stabbed three times under a Midlands bridge late Saturday night.

A spokesperson for the city of Cayce said officers responded at about 11 p.m. Saturday after a report of a stabbing. The victim, a 33-year-old man, was stabbed three times in the arm under the bridge at Charleston Highway and Interstate 26, city officials said.

Following the incident, the victim went to a nearby Waffle House to call 911, the city spokesperson said. He was later taken to an area hospital for treatment.

City officials said a suspect has been identified, but was not in custody as of early Sunday afternoon. Those with any information about the incident can call 1-888-CRIMESC.
