A Lexington steakhouse sets an opening for new Greenville location. Here’s when
A steakhouse that has proven popular in Lexington is set to open the doors on a new location in a busy area of the Upstate.
Cork & Cleaver Steakhouse, which has a restaurant at 924 E. Main St. in Lexington, will open a new location at 116 N. Markley St. in the West End of downtown Greenville on April 28, according to a social media post from the company. Cork & Cleaver said reservations for the Greenville location are now open on its website.
Once it debuts, the Greenville Cork & Cleaver will be open from 4 to 10 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays and noon to 8 p.m. on Sundays, per a post from the restaurant on Facebook.
The Greenville Cork & Cleaver Steakhouse is located in a spot that formerly was home to Urban Wren, which closed in 2025. It’s just a couple blocks away from Fluor Field baseball stadium in the midst of Greenville’s wildly popular downtown.
Cork & Cleaver is a part of the Midlands-based Happy Fork Restaurant Group. Aside from Cork & Cleaver, Happy Fork also has the Chophouse of Chapin and Bakon Southern Eatery on its roster.
The menu at Cork & Cleaver includes prime cut steaks, as well as wine, cocktails and more. The restaurant also has a selection of salads, pasta, and seafood, and a deep roster of sides.
