A well known Midlands culinary and community event has set a date for 2026, and it is debuting a new name.

The Three Rivers Bridge Dinner, formerly long known as the Gervais Street Bridge Dinner, will be held on Sunday, Oct. 25, according to a news release from the event, with a makeup rain date of Nov. 1, if necessary.

The event said in its release that its rebrand to the Three Rivers Bridge Dinner “reflects a renewed focus on the heart of the event’s mission: celebrating and supporting the three rivers that define the Columbia region — the Broad, Saluda, and Congaree.” As it was a year ago, Prisma Health will be the title sponsor of the event.

“This reimagining is both a celebration of how far the event has come and a meaningful step forward,” the bridge dinner’s CEO Erin Curtis said in a statement. “The Three Rivers Bridge Dinner better captures our purpose — honoring the rivers that connect us while bringing our community together in a truly special way.”

In addition to its new name, the event said in its release that it is now operating under a dedicated nonprofit organization that is solely dedicated to the bridge dinner.

Founded in 2015, the bridge dinner typically welcomes more than 1,000 diners to enjoy supper along the top of the Gervais Street Bridge, with proceeds from ticket sales going to area organizations. This years beneficiaries will be the River Alliance, the West Columbia Beautfication Foundation and Canoeing for Kids.

Ticket information for the 2026 Three Rivers Bridge Dinner will be released at a later date, the event said in its release.
