This SC town is set to get its first Chipotle restaurant. Here’s when it opens
A South Carolina town is set to get its first location of a well-known national Mexican food chain.
Chipotle Mexican Grill, which has locations across the U.S., will officially open a new location on April 30 at 438 Bypass 72 NW in Greenwood, according to a news release from the company.
There are more than 4,000 Chipotle locations in the U.S., according to data website ScrapeHero. The menu at Chipotle is highlighted by prodigiously stuffed burritos, as well as tacos, bowls and more.
The Greenwood location will be open from 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, the news release noted. It will feature dine-in and takeout service, as well as a “Chipotlane” drive-thru.
The Chipotle in Greenwood is still hiring, the company said, and will eventually employ 30 people.
The new Chipotle is located along busy Bypass 72, right in front of the Greenwood Mall. About 20,000 cars per day travel down that stretch of Bypass 72, according to S.C. Department of Transportation statistics.
