Columbia’s BullStreet set to get a new location of this trendy clothing shop
A trendy Southern women’s clothier is set to bring a shop to a growing district near downtown Columbia.
DressUp, which has more than a dozen locations across the South, announced in a recent Instagram post that is planning a new location at Columbia’s BullStreet District.
“The secret is OUT,” the clothier said on social media. “DressUp fam we are coming to Columbia SC THIS year!!! We are so incredibly grateful and excited to grow our family!! Adding another store is so precious to us, and we hope you’re just as excited as we are!”
The BullStreet DressUp location will be on the first floor of the WestLawn building, next door to the Methodical Coffee shop that opened last year. It will be a short distance from the Gather COLA food hall that has proved popular since opening in 2025.
DressUp’s arrival will be another piece of the puzzle for the BullStreet District. Greenville’s Hughes Development and the city of Columbia are in the midst of a two-decade plan to convert the sprawling, 181-acre former State Mental Hospital site into a mixed-use development with residences, restaurants, stores, a minor league baseball stadium and more.
“DressUp is going to be a great addition to the overall shopping experience in the BullStreet District,” Hughes Development CEO Robert Hughes said in a statement. “DressUp is a community-focused retailer that will serve a broad cross-section of the city, offering fresh styles at reasonable price points and a standout customer experience. We are thrilled to welcome them to Columbia.”
DressUp has 16 locations across states such as Georgia, Alabama and Florida, according to the company’s website. It currently has South Carolina locations on North Main Street in Greenville and King Street in Charleston. An opening date for the Columbia location has not been announced.
The company is known for carrying a wide array of women’s clothing, including dresses, skirts, pants, tops, shoes, rompers and much more.
