New wings restaurant to open in Greenville soon & it’s got a hot strawberry flavor

A Charlotte-based restaurant chain specializing in wings is opening in Greenville.

Located in the Shoppes at Woodruff, Chex Grill and Wings announced the location on social media.

“You asked for it, We delivered. Greenville South Carolina,” the company said.

It did not say when it would open.

The chain opened in 2014 on Freedom Drive in Charlotte and has grown to 20 locations, including Columbia. The company also said on social media a second Columbia location was in the making on Harbison Boulevard.

“What started as a simple concept focused on hot oven subs and fresh salads has grown into one of the region’s go-to destinations for quality, variety, and unforgettable taste,” the company said on its website.

It is known for having more than 40 signature wing flavors, including basics like Buffalo and garlic parm but also fire cilantro spicy, honey gold and strawberry hot. Their tag line is, “Where bold flavor takes flight.”

They also have handcrafted burgers, salads, subs, and wraps.

Chex has 13 locations in the Charlotte area, three in the Rock Hill area, one in Raleigh and two in Tennessee.
