Fatal three-car crash on S.C. 61 sends two others to hospital, troopers say
One person was killed Thursday in a collision involving three cars on S.C. Highway 61 near Summers Drive in Dorchester County, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
The driver of a 2012 Honda sedan sustained fatal injuries after the vehicle crossed the center line and struck a 2018 Ram pickup traveling in the opposite direction, according to a news release.
The 2018 Ram then collided with a 2022 Ford, both traveling south on SC-61. The drivers of 2018 Ram and 2022 Ford were transported to a local hospital.
Anyone with information on the deceased is asked to contact the Dorchester County Coroner’s Office.
The incident remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
