A collision between a Freightliner tractor trailer and a sedan left one dead in Orangeburg County Sunday evening, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol

The driver of a 2018 Dodge sedan died on the scene from injuries after the vehicle collided with a 2023 Freightliner tractor trailer on S.C. 6, according to South Carolina Highway Patrol Master Trooper William Bennett. The Freightliner driver was transported by EMS for injuries.

The collision occurred at 8:30 p.m. Sunday, Bennett said.
