A new Columbia chicken wing restaurant has opened in a busy, high traffic area
Where once there were wings, there shall be wings again.
Crazy Wings, which has several locations in the Midlands, has opened a new chicken wing restaurant at 4400 Fort Jackson Blvd. suite 600-B. That’s in the same space that formerly was home to a restaurant called Spice Wing, which closed its doors last month.
Crazy Wings announced in a June 8 Facebook post that it was open at the Fort Jackson Boulevard address. Crazy Wings also had a banner on its website as of Friday morning trumpeting the opening of the Fort Jackson Boulevard location.
This marks the fourth Columbia location for Crazy Wings, following spots at 1033 Roberts Branch Parkway in northeast Columbia, in the 650 Lincoln development at the University of South Carolina, and on Two Notch road not far from the Village at Sandhill.
The menu at Crazy Wings includes, as you might imagine, a plethora of chicken wings in various flavors. They also have cheesesteak sandwiches, chicken sandwiches and tenders, gyros and more.
The Fort Jackson Boulevard Crazy Wings is in a shopping center that includes a Marshalls, a Michaels and other businesses. It is near Devine Street and Garners Ferry Road, an area that is stuffed with stores, restaurants and other businesses. About 11,600 cars per day travel down that section of Fort Jackson Boulevard, while more than 32,000 cars per day travel down Devine Street nearby, per state Department of Transportation data.
