Downtown Columbia has a new restaurant with Asian flavors. Check out where

A new restaurant has made its debut in downtown Columbia.

Asian Kitchen, which offers hibachi dishes, wings, boba tea and more, opened on June 22 at 1208 Laurel St. That’s near the corner of Main and Laurel streets, and a short distance from Columbia City Hall, and near the COMET bus station.

The new Asian restaurant is in a building that formerly was home to Casserole 2 Go.

The menu at Asian Kitchen includes a number of hibachi plates, including shrimp, chicken and steak. They also have a variety of Vietnamese pho noodle soups, including a beef brisket pho. The restaurant offers a number of combo specials that come with fries and a drink, including combos highlighted by chicken wings, butterfly or tempura shrimp, Philly steak sandwiches, spare ribs and more.

Smoothies, boba teas, fresh fruit teas also are a part of the Asian Kitchen menu.

Asian Kitchen is open from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday and noon to 9 p.m. on Sunday, per the hours posted on its Facebook page.
