A winning lottery game sold at a Columbia convenience store. Check your tickets

If you were commuting through Northeast Columbia and stopped to buy a lottery ticket yesterday, there’s a chance you finally hit the jackpot.

A $100,000 winning Palmetto Cash 5 ticket was purchased Wednesday, July 8 at Sphinx at 1619 Decker Boulevard in Columbia, the South Carolina Education Lottery officials said in a Thursday news release.

The winning numbers in the July 8 Palmetto Cash 5 drawing were 3, 18, 25, 35 and 41.

The winner of the jackpot has 180 days to claim their prize. More information on claiming lottery winnings can be found on the education lottery’s website.

The release said the jackpot for the July 9 Palmetto Cash 5 drawing is also $100,000.
