Forecast: Get out the blankets – Columbia’s Sunday night lows expected in 50s

It might be time to get out the extra blanket Sunday night.

With highs expected right around 80 in the afternoon, the overnight temperature Sunday is expected to dip into the mid to upper 50s in the Columbia area, according to the National Weather Service web site. That’s roughly 10 degrees cooler than Saturday’s overnight lows.

Ditto for the overnight lows Monday.

But the lows will be slightly higher for the remaining weekdays, in the low 60s.

And in the daytime, temperatures this week are expected in the low to mid 80s.
