Richland County discussing development of new Decker Center

Richland County is preparing for the development of the new Decker Center in the Dentsville area in the central part of the county.

County Council members are holding a public discussion meeting Thursday night to present and hear feedback on plans for the long-anticipated development, located at a former Kroger shopping center on Decker Boulevard.

Expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2016, the Decker Center will house the Central Court Magistrate, Sheriff’s substation and community meeting space.

Thursday night’s meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. at Forest Lake Park, 6820 Wedgefield Road, Columbia.
