Cayce neighborhood’s residents can return home

The voluntary evacuation for the Riverland Park neighborhood ended Monday, Cayce officials said.

The change allows residents who left their homes to return after water levels in the Congaree River didn’t flood the area as had been feared.

In other announcements:

▪ Water in the Lexington County city is back to normal and doesn’t need to be boiled before drinking or cooking.

▪ No curfew is in place tonight but officials urged residents to stay home.

▪ Garbage pickup will happen Tuesday as scheduled, with Monday’s missed collection moved to Wednesday.
